Hi there and thank you for browsing my website!
Who am I? I’m a photographer, trainer, blogger, speaker, and workshop leader who enjoys teaching and the creative process. I teach photography workshops for Jansen Photo Expeditions, Craftsy, the Manfrotto School of Excellence, and for the BPSOP School of Photography.
I have been working in creative fields all my life. My passion for art, photography and design started as a young girl when my family attended photography workshops with Ansel Adams in Yosemite Valley. Our conversations around the dinner table were about image composition and where our next photo adventure would be. It was a great start.
Since then, I ran a successful interior design business in Southern California photographed remodels and new home construction for my own design projects as well as for other designers.
I then began showing my photography in art shows and galleries and using it in my numerous design projects. Much of my work is in private and corporate art collections such as State Farm Insurance and Sysco Food Services Corporate offices in California. Here is a link to my current photographic portfolio.
My passion today lies with offering photographic workshops along with my husband Mark through Jansen Photo Expeditions. These photographic intensive field guided workshops give beginning to advanced photographers the tools they need to capture the beauty of amazing natural locations along side other passionate photographers in a small group setting.
Our workshop locations and subject matters range widely from day workshops in Southern California, Icelandic winter excursions, to wildlife and landscapes of the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains, to the jungles of Belize. Workshops planned for the future include Norway and the Canadian Rockies.
For a complete list of current workshops go to: Jansen Photo Expeditions. The list includes Digital SLR workshops, iPhone Workshops, private coaching, and Online classes in Photography, Photoshop, and Lightroom.
